I recently completed my one year as a working professional in Accenture. For many of us its the time for celebration and I celebrated too. But deep inside my heart I was analysing about the things I learnt in past one year. Experience is not just technical ,it teaches one to live, enjoy and cope up with bad experiences.

My desire to write on the spot was at least fulfilled ,no matter what resources I had to use .I am using a air sickness bag to write upon because when I demanded for rough paper ,the air hostess handed me a tissue paper. It feels great to have world of clouds below .It’s the purest form of white colour which I had came across, clouds are like islands below me.
When the pilot was trying to attain the height, it was sensational to cut through the clouds. Adding to it was the joy of writing at the moment and that too after such a long time. The pressure of performing well had taken over me which resulted in loosing of self. Travelling to home via flight was one of my dreams come true and which is inspiring me to go for my other dreams. I believe that i will enjoy my vacation in best possible way. It would be great to meet Vaibhav and Sarvagya after so much time. The book i was reading i.e. When Everything Changes, Change Everything turned out to be quite good for me. I could say that I handled one of the biggest changes of my life in best possible way. The thought which haunted me most of the time was of going away from home. The lesson I learned from the book was thrown to me many times but the way in which this book presented the idea was quite convincing. It also convinced the idea that our experience of present is all dependent on our way of perceiving it and the past data to which we are relating our present. I just accepted that change is the part of life without which life will not be sustainable, adaptable and functional. Everything changes for something better and it was me who brought this change by choosing the right things and taking right decisions.
Well at present I am enjoying the flight and it feels like the plane is standing still. I have to wrap up my blog now as I was writing this on air sickness bag. There were many thoughts which demanded words but I was out of bag and I didn’t want to steal another one from my fellow passenger. But the last thing I would like to say is “ITS ALL GOOD”.

India breaking the ‘jinx’ in sports

The Indian success streak in world sports is increasing day by day. Here are the events from last few days which made every Indian proud.We have dominated in various sports like Boxing,Tennis,Formula One,Cricket,Chess,Badminton or Football.
Today India beat Sri Lanka in the tri-nation Compaq Cup Final in which the third team was New Zealand. India moved to second spot in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings by the virtue this ninth consecutive ODI win.
Leander Paes clinched his 10th Grand Slam title after winning his sensational battle against estranged friend Mahesh Bhupathi in the US Open men’s doubles final.
Boxer Vijender Singh gave us another feather in the cap of Indian boxing by storming into the semis of the World Boxing Championship in Milan and winning a bronze.
Few days back it was Force India’s first podium finish at the Belgian Grand Prix, all credit to Italian driver Giancarlo Fisichella.
Indian world number eight Saina Nehwal won her first Super Series event in Indonesia.
India won against Syria 5-4 to lift the Nehru Cup. This is the third significant cup won by India in recent times.
I am really proud of the way Indians are performing in world sports. Its not only cricket but there are variety of sports in which Indians are increasing their dominance. Hope this trail continues and we will be able to incrase our tally of medals in next Olympic.

Movie Review-Love Aaj Kal

It was Friendship’s Day and I wanted to be with friends, so whats good than a movie…damn..there I was mistaken especially when I considered a Bollywood movie . I had such high hopes of Love Aaj Kal. Being an Imtiaz Ali flick, the expectations were high. ‘Jab we met’, even ‘Socha na tha’ were awesome love stories.

Even though like every one said ‘Jab we met’ was exceptional and I too agree with it. I missed Kareena’s Geet character from ‘Jab we met’ and the flow of story of the film. All I saw was Saif Ali Khan who according to some reports used Botox in order to look younger when acting opposite 24-year-old Deepika Padukone.

The love stories of “today” (aaj) and “yesterday”(kal) goes parallel . Rishi Kapoor narrates his love story and takes us in the era where ‘Veer‘ (Rishi) is in deep love with ‘Harleen‘ and is happy just having a glimpse of her face and wishes that she should her life partner in all his lives. Saif Ali Khan plays the role of “Veer” (Young Rishi Kapoor). The punjabi kudi (Harleen) who played the role of Rishi Kapoor’s love of life, isn’t a Punjabi kudi at all. She’s a 19-year-old Brazilian model ” Giselle Monteiro” who couldn’t speak Hindi or dance but still a part of Hindi movie . At one point of movie she brought a hot glass of black tea under her dupatta to give to “Veer” who just stood below her house . Harleen’s family was shown as a typical 1950 Indian family which is against love marriage. But in the end Veer and Harleen easily run away and settle downs in London. These incidents made me wanted to be born in the 1950s. Almost as though my life would be so much more simple and beautiful if it could actually be in sepia.

In parallel the present goes with Jai (Saif) & Meera (Deepika) as modern day couple in London, who likes to lead a practical life to go along with the flow of life. And the scene where Deepika is marrying to another guy and Saif is watching just touched me a bit.But in the end they realize that love cannot be transformed and tampered so they end up living a happy life together.

Overall this isn’t a bad film at all. It’s just that I’d come to building some solid expectations from Imitiaz Ali. I came out of the theater and was just not fuzzy enough but at some point in the movie I thought of getting my ticket money back from the theater owner.

A week full of hangouts at natural sceneries

At last after all the “havans” and “puja path” aka sacred rituals, Rain God is finally happy with Udaipurites and the two main lakes viz Lake Pichola and Fateh sagar are covered with water .

Last week was good for me and I traveled a lot to take a look of various water reservoirs around the city. The energy of flowing water fascinated me a lot and i drenched my self at every opportunity.

Me v/s Myself

Yup u gussed it right !! its about the fight which all of us experience inside us . Most of the times we came across things and occasions where we find that we are not one entity , we are two individual one with mind and other with heart. Its the position where we find our self in a dilemma but we always know one thing that the decision or the act which is right and totally justified will come across atleast once inour mind and heart. It depends on us that we listen to that voice of inner soul which is 100% correct and true.

Its really hard to control our senses as these senses compel us to give false justification for the situation. We are tempted to follow the incorrect path for which we regret later. One who can control his senses becomes THE ONE. Thats why in Indian mythology there are great ” sadhus and sants” (yogis) who can control their senses and can live a satisfied life with complete devotion to the god. These are the persons who can hear their inner voice and can experience “moksh” (inner peace of mind).

I wish to hear the voice of my inner soul every time i come across some dilemma or confusion so that i won’t have to regret later. The first step i should take is to believe that eveything that happens is because of the will of god.

I can only HOPE…….The torch of life which never dies out ||||||||[<

South Africa out of world cup- efforts in vain

I was disheartened by the victory of Pakistan which resulted in the defeat of most deserving team to win world cup 20-20 2009 i.e South Africa. Its the magic of 20-20 which can make any team champion. SA worked hard to reach semifinals and did’nt lost any matches yet it lost the most important one. South Africa is the team which never reached the finals of any of the big tournaments ever, it may be the luck which kept away the team from winning auspicious tournaments.
Pakistan reached the finals again and this time they are hoping to win as earlier they lost the final of T-20 world cup to India.The Pakistani team really performed well and Shahid Afridi played a match winning innings by scoring 52 runs(32 balls) and taking 2 wickets. The South African bowlers just gave 29 runs in last 5 overs restricting Pakistan at 149 runs which is a commendable effort but didn’t got support with bat as their top order failed. Jack Kallis was the one who survived and played sensibly the leg spin of Shahid Afridi. Another winning performance was given by Umar Gul ,the pace bowler , he kept on targeting the block hole and made certainly impossible for SA players to score runs. JP Duminy, AB Devilliers , Alibie Morkel and Greame Smith totally failed at this important match. The South African team and fans including me are really disappointed and hoping that second favourite team Sri Lanka reaches final by defeating West Indies. The team which can refrain Pakistan from winning T-20 world cup 2009 is Sri Lanka as the team has 3 M in its armour i.e Murali,Mendis & Malinga ofcourse the warrior Sanath Jayasuriya.
Lets hope SL wins the world cup this time.

Team India- out of world cup 20-20 2009

India lost to England by 3 runs in 20-20 world cup 2009 , which results in ending India’s journey. After watching the match between India and England, I was left with full of anger for the most eligible bachelor and Indian cricket team captian Mahendra Singh Dhoni aka MSD. I did’nt find a better way to take out my rage and frustration, so rather then breaking the tv screen by throwing the remote, I thought to write a blog.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni , the man who took India to the new heights of world cricket is now responsible for the knockout of team India from world cup 20-20. His decisions are under question and the team who does’nt learn from past mistakes can never win.

Today’s match with England showed India the place it deserved. May it be the IPL or the endorsements but playing for the nation is a big deal and our team does’nt know the value of it . They know a simple fact that the amount of cash as prize money for the 20-20 world cup can be earned by doing a 10 seconds endorsement for chips, cold drinks , shoes or telecom company etc.

Our beloved captain MSD just love to run around with the hot girl Bipasha Basu by wearing Reebok shoes and wanted to be connected with friends by using facebook on Aircel . One man who will be happy by the defeat is Virendra Shewag as he was sent back to India . Just to have a share in winning amount and to take the family for a vaccation at UK, he did’nt revealed the injury.

In today’s match there were few mistakes made by Indian captain:

Sending newcomer Ravindra Jadeja to bat at number 4 eventually resulting in a score of 25 from 35 balls in a 20 over game.
Giving Jadeja,Raina, Yuvraj himself priorty above Yusuf Pathan.
Unabiltiy of Suresh Raina & Gautam Gmabhir to play short picthed balls.
Knowing the fact that Ishant Sharma is out of form then too including him in playing 11.
Poor captaincy of Dhoni and his unabiltiy to play big shots while batting.
The whole team was physically exhausted after IPL .

India shouls now be ready for a alternate captain as MSD seems to be lost in the glitters of succes . He is not behaving properly in front of media and is not able to play the kind of shots for which he is known. Hope this time he is ready to answer the media and the nation where cricket is a religion.

Exam time!!

After enjoying the full entertainer i.e IPL , its time now for some serious stuff i.e exams . But is it really serious.. nah!! its engineering exams and i will proceed in the way i use to earlier . I watched movies and played computer games and now i am writing a blog. Well i think its time to get serious somewhat and study , so i will be taking break from writing blogs for a while. But i need a computer game , it refreshes me whenever i need a break.

I watched the X men series including the new one “The X-Men origins-Wolverine” it was a nice movie and worth watching . I also watched “Drop Dead Fred ” a comedy and light stuff . Then i watched “Saving Private Ryan” based on a war stuff in which a group of soldiers were given a mission to save another soldier and take him home safely. And now I am downloading games based on war and missions as i was really fascinated by the movie and i am excited to play these games in between and after my exams. I am looking for some horror flick to watch and i also completed the PC game “Wall-e” it was quite near to the movie .

IPL closing ceremony- a kick off ending

After five weeks of exhilarating cricket, the Indian Premier League (IPL) draw to a close in an electrifying closing ceremony at Wanderers Cricket Stadium( also known as Bull Ring) in Johannesburg on Sunday.

In a dramatic turnaround of fortunes in the IPL, last year’s bottom-placed teams Bangalore Royal Challengers and Deccan Chargers played for the title in the grand finale of the second edition of the tournament. At last it was Deccan Chargers who held the diamond studded IPL trophy with the sum of Rs. 4.8 crore as prize money.

South African President Jacob Zuma attended the IPL final match and addressed the stadium. The closing ceremony included performances by world renowned music legend Eddy Grant and the American super-star Akon. Around 1,500 flying lanterns were lit and released, and a thrilling pyrotechnics show, using several thousand rounds of fireworks, that lightened light up the Johannesburg skyline . Then American superstar Akon grooved to his popular Grammy winning songs. Then the superstar crowned Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa, Dune Kossatz. Next was the pectacular Phoenix Fire Dance with heart throbing laser show. Then the legend Eddy Grant performed the popular ‘Walking on Sunshine’ and his anti-apartheid hit song ‘Gimme hope Jo’anna’ . Next was the performance from Bollywood glam doll Katrina Kaif who danced to AR Rahman’s Oscar winning ‘Jai Ho’ which added to the glitz and glamour at the event’s closing ceremony. Other highlights on the night was a programme featuring renowned percussionist Shivamani (playing a musical instrument in which the sound is produced by one object striking another) and a group of Indian and South African drummers.

The glittering spectacle ended with a presentation ceremony for the winning cricket team. Overall the closing ceremony was worth watching and was truely outstanding like the opening ceremony of IPL .
